History

HMUN I (May 29th ~ May 30th, 2021​)

The first HMUN was held on May 29-30th, 2021, with 80 elementary, middle, and high school students participating as delegates. In compliance with social distancing regulations during the COVID-19 pandemic, the conference was hosted online until HMUN IV. The inagural conference entertained Ki-moon Ban (8th Secretary-General of the United Nations) and other prominent academics as keynote speakers for the opening ceremony.

HMUN II (Nov 27th ~ Nov 28th, 2021​)

The second HMUN was held on November 27-28, 2021, with 80 elementary, middle, and high school students participating as delegates.​ Distinguished professors, including Professor Youn-kyoo Kim (Dean of  Hanyang University Division of International Studies) came as keynote speakers, and also invited "Hope for Future Foundation," "Global Leadership English Challenge," and "ICN Group" as sponsor organizations.


HMUN III (July 27th ~ July 28th, 2022)

The third HMUN was held on July 16-17, 2022, with 70 elementary, middle, and high school students participating as delegates.​ This conference is notable in the sense that it was the first conference in Korea to feature two university Model UN societies as co-hosts, with the KICMUN Secretariat from Kyunghee University joining us in organizing and facilitating the conference. "Hope for Future Foundation", and "ICN Group" also participated as  sponsor organizations.
By mobilizing a large number of participants, school management, and secretariat members, this is the first conference to implement the four-committee structure of HMUN, cementing the organization for future events..


HMUN IV (Dec 29th ~ Dec 31st, 2022)

The fourth HMUN was the first offline competition held for three days and two nights from December 29 to 31st, 2022, with 80 middle, high school, and college students across the country partaking as delegates. KICMUN Secretariat, "Hope for Future Foundation" and "ICN Group" have participated as sponsor organizations.


HMUN V (July 6th ~ July 8th, 2023)

The fifth HMUN was held on both offline and online for three days during July 6-8, 2023, with 80 middle, high school, and university students across Korea participating as delegates. We entered partnerships with "My Dream International Foundation" (MDIF), "Blue Tree Foundation", "한국인권위원회" and "Warming Korea"

HMUN VI (Jan 1th ~ Jan 5th, 2024)

The sixth HMUN was held offline and online for three days during Jan. 3-5, 2024, hosting around 80 middle, high school, and university students across South Korea. Prominent professors and experts, including Jerome Kim, Secretary-General of the International Vaccine Institute (IVI), gave words of congratulations and advice as keynote speakers. The conference also entered partnerships with "Blue Tree Foundation", "Hope for Future Foundation", "한국인권연구소", and "Hanyang University GCEC". "Monster Energy Korea" also partook in the conference as a sponsor, marking the first beverage brand ever to officially supply an Model UN conference in South Korea.
